As of last week Microsoft has announced the release of it’s latest productivity suite, Office 2019. Currently the new edition of Office is only available in commercial markets, however it will be landing for consumers and Office 365 subscribers within the next several weeks.
New features in Office 2019:
1. Advanced presentation features in PowerPoint
PowerPoint 2019 promises to bring many new features like Morph and Zoom afford greater control in your presentations and add an extra layer of polish and professionalism to them.
2. More powerful data analysis capability in Excel
According to Microsoft, Excel 2019 will come with new formulas and charts, along with the ability to publish spreadsheets to Power BI for further investigation and analysis.
3. Improved inking features across all apps
With the arrival and upswing of adoption of touch devices such as the Surface product line Microsoft is bolstering ink support across all Office apps for better integration. This is a clear area of focus as professionals begin to realize the potential in touch integration.
4. Easier email management within Outlook
Microsoft knows how important email is in today’s world, both to consumers and businesses alike. With this in mind they are introducing new features such as Focused Inbox and support for Office 365 groups with Office 2019.
