Yesterday Apple revealed their latest revision of their desktop operating system of OS X code named ‘Yosemite’.
The latest version of OS X Yosemite 10.10, is now available and is provided as a free upgrade to all Mac end users.
Yesterday Microsoft showed off a preview of their upcoming operating system, Windows 10. That’s right, they’ve skipped Windows 9 and are going straight to Windows 10. According to Microsoft executive Terry Myerson “When you see the product in its fullness I think you will agree with us that it is a more appropriate name”.
Microsoft has envisioned an environment where one operating system is used across all devices, a platform that delivers a consistent experience no matter how you access it.
Cryptolocker is a malicious piece of software classified as ‘ransomware’. It encrypts your files with a secret key and then demands that you pay a ransom in order for the files to be released.
File types affected by Cryptolocker include:
Open Office documents, Microsoft Office documents, image files and text files among others.
