WiFi Security Flaw Discovered

A wireless security flaw has been discovered in most wireless network devices which affects the WPA2 protocol. When within range, it allows attackers to exploit this weakness and potentially read data that was previously assumed to be encrypted. This can lead to sensitive data being compromised in transit. Such data could include things like credit card numbers, passwords, emails, etc.

The good news is that there is a way to safeguard your network against these threats! Many manufacturers have already released firmware updates for their affected hardware and once applied flaw is no longer present. The key here is that until affected equipment is updated your network is likely at risk.

We have completed updates to patch against this for clients with equipment that can be patched to address this vulnerability. It’s important to ensure that you are protected against this very real security issue. If you’re unsure about whether or not you are protected feel free to contact us for a consultation at sales@syscomm.ca.
