BUSINESS SITUATION
An Ontario College is running a basic wireless network system and would like to upgrade to a complete solution with appropriate density and coverage. Client requires the infrastructure necessary to support their staff in day-to-day tasks which are mainly comprised of resource intensive network activity to an array of Citrix servers. Emphasis was placed on the ability to support a target number of client devices, specifically in meeting areas as users typically have multiple wireless devices on hand.
SOLUTION
The Syscomm Group conducted a wireless LAN site survey beforehand to establish a baseline for the current wireless performance. Data collected revealed many deficiencies which would need additional equipment to be addressed. Recommended a wireless infrastructure system that incorporates multiple access points, strategically positioned throughout the offices for maximum performance and reliability. Designed the system such that it met the clients’ specific high device density requirements of their meeting areas. The system is governed by a central controller for optimal efficiency.
END RESULT
Since implementing the wireless infrastructure solution designed by our engineers at Syscomm the client has reported excellent network speeds, signal strength and connectivity. The final implementation has met and exceeded the requirements set out by the client at the beginning of the project. As a result of the performing a wireless site survey beforehand Syscomm was able to design a system that met all of the clients’ needs without exceeding their budget on the project.
